Phil Jones, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck did the damage for Manchester United against West Bromwich Albion as David Moyes' side moved to within five points of fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
United opened the scoring in the 34th minute when Jones powerfully met Robin van Persie's whipped free-kick as the defender marked his return to the side with a goal.
